Hey everyone! Carla here with you today to reveal our 3rd January challenge, but before I get to that....A reminder - - We are looking for some fresh new faces to add to our current list of super-star designers! We are looking for YOU! We will be accepting applications until January 31st and our new DT will be announced the first challenge in February! The term is running from February-August 2012. You are required to participate in 2 challenges a month. You will be given the challenges a month in advance. As a member of our DT you will need to promote the challenge on your blog, facebook or twitter account. You will also be required to comment on participants entries. No prior DT experience needed! To apply for our DT, just take part in any of our January challenges, and be sure to put "DT" next to you name in the linky so we know you're interested, simple right?

Now....on to January Week 3!! Our month long theme for January is the "New Year" and this week we have the classic song "Turn, Turn, Turn" by the Byrds up on the playlist!! We hope you'll be inspired by the title, the great lyrics, or the general idea of the song itself!

Don't forget - you have until January 31st to play along and link up with us in the sidebar to be entered in this month's prize draw!

Now....on to our first challenge of 2012!! What does the new year mean to you? For some it's about celebrations, for others it's about changes, or maybe it's all about setting (and reaching) new goals. This week our challenge is to create a project (layout, card, or other) based on any New Years song of your choice!   Please be sure to let us know which song inspired your creation if it isn't obvious. We hope this challenge helps get you singing your way to a great 2012!   

All of our January challenges will run until the end of the month, so we hope you'll have a chance to play along! Now let's see what some of the design team has on their New Years Playlist!!

December Tops & Some Changes!

Thank you all for all your beautiful work on the challenges in December!  We had some amazing entries!  There were a few that stuck out and here are the Top 3 voted from the DT.

For the "I heard the Bells on Christmas Day" Challenge, The DT voted Julie at the top entry!!  Congrats Julie!

For the "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" Challenge, The DT voted Abby as the top entry!! Congrats Abby and I'm sorry to hear about your hard drive :(

For the open challenge on choose your own Christmas Carol challenge!  The DT voted Jan's project as the top entry!!  Such a cute idea!

So now some changes are in the work here at Scrap it With a Song... I'm moving on.  Tiffany has stepped up and is taking over the top Pop Gal position and will be running the blog with the amazing Carla!  I wish you ladies the best and I enjoyed the year I spent running things!  I know that you both will be amazing and I wish you all the best!

As well as me leaving, Kylie and Kelly have also stepped down from their positions here at SIWAS.  I'm sure that the girls have a few more changes and quite possibly a DT call, so stay tuned and I look forward to checking back in when life calms down!  Thank you all!!!
