Carla here with you today to reveal our 3rd January challenge, but before I get to that....A reminder - - We are looking for some fresh new faces to add to our current list of super-star designers! We are looking for YOU! We will be accepting applications until January 31st and our new DT will be announced the first challenge in February! The term is running from February-August 2012. You are required to participate in 2 challenges a month. You will be given the challenges a month in advance. As a member of our DT you will need to promote the challenge on your blog, facebook or twitter account. You will also be required to comment on participants entries. No prior DT experience needed! New Challenge - Bryan Adams "Everything I Do"

Hi everyone - we are back this week with another great Bryan Adam's song for you. A classic (in my eyes anyway!) from the movie Robin Hood starring Kevin Costner . . . "Everything I Do"!

Unfortunately - I'm not able to embed the official music video here ( the embedding feature is 'disabled' on this one) - but you can find it here:

Dana commented: "I was 10 years old when the film Robin Hood was released, and boy did I have a crush on Kevin Costner after seeing the movie! I also loved the song "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You" for the film by Bryan Adams, so I bought the sheet music for piano and learned how to play it. I still have the sheet music, so I scanned and printed a copy of the first page and used that for the base of my layout. I didn't think I could love anyone more than my husband, but then I had two beautiful girls. Everything I do, I do for them. I used the title of the song for the title of this page and also used some of the song lyrics in my journaling."

Hello! My name is Jennifer Shaw. I live in Alberta, Canada with my husband and three pups. I have two grown daughters.

I started scrapbooking in 2000 but it wasn't until 2009 that my passion became a full on obsession. My style is simple with attention to detail. I love to hand stitch on my layouts. Buttons and lots of layering are also a must! Paper is my favourite scrapping supply. My favourite manufacturer changes from season to season depending on the releases. I enjoy a variety of styles from vintage to whimsical.

I love that scrapbooking encourages me to take lots of photographs and to get the story recorded. Layouts that capture every day moments make me happy! My other interests in life include knitting, reading and cross stitching. These things have taken a back seat lately as I pursue my scrappy dreams! :)

My name is Nicolle (Nikky) Kramer . I am 37 and from the chilly city of Buffalo New York. Most people think its awful living here. I love it here. Our area has a bad reputation. The change in seasons from our chilly below zero cold winters to our hot and humid close to 100 degree temps in summer. Whats not to love??? I have been married for 18 years to my handsome hubby Mike. I am lucky enough to be able to be a stay at home mom to my 4 wonderful children. I have 2 boys, Ryan 18, Bret17, and 2 girls Kayla 14,Jolie 8. I have been scrapping for about 7 years. I went to a make n take at Michael's and was instantly hooked.

Describing my scrapbook style is never easy. I guess I would call it eclectic. I am an ever evolving scrapper who loves using bright bold colors,textures and lots of embellishments to enhance the story being told on my page in a unique and creative way that keeps the viewer continually discovering new details every time they see one of my pieces. Being a part of your team would give me an opportunity to share my work with others. I enjoy making new connections with folks in this hobby we share in common. I love learning anything new about paper crafting and believe that it would expand my knowledge and open me up to new creative tips and techniques. Being in this type of setting can create new friendships as well. I have been so lucky to make some wonderful friends already.

My name is Dana Tatar and I am a stay-at-home mom. I have two daughters, Claire (5) and Scarlett (3). I married my high school sweetheart in 2003 and have been happy ever since. I graduated from MSU with a B.S. in Biochemistry and worked in that field for about 3 years before I gave birth to my first daughter and decided to stay home full time. I have had many hobbies over the years, but scrapping is the one that really gives me satisfaction. I started scrapbooking to preserve memories after the birth of my first daughter and now really enjoy the creative outlet I get from creating and sharing my pages. I love to mix products from different collections on my layouts and I frequently find inspiration in music, poetry and pop culture. I love fussy cutting and flowers and both can be seen on the majority of my layouts. When I'm not scrapping, I enjoy cooking and baking, reading, listening to music and spending time outdoors with my family and basset hound.

He lead me to read 2 Kings 4:1-7 where a widow was in the same situation as I was. After I read it I asked Him what I had in my house and He told me "PAPER". It’s been almost 8 years since I found a new passion and a new career in my life. I have been scrapbooking and making cards ever since! I love to teach, to design and to share this beautiful hobby with those whom He brings into my life.

Our mothers made us these dresses for Easter, we still bring up the topic of these UGLY dresses we had to wear :D I think that's what we were laughing about in the picture too!! Hi, I am Mazlina Md Yusoff, originally from the beautiful country of Malaysia. We just moved to Melbourne, Australia about a year ago, and loving our new home so far :) I am a mother of a 6yo boy and a 3yo girl, who are the inspirations for most of my scrappy works. While I am not scrapping, I am working as a geologist at an oil company, so I am a Scrapperocks! I have been scrapping since 2009, and I think my scrapping style had evolved a lot since then! I love to play with colors, especially bright and cheerful colors, and let the pictures be the center of the layouts. My name is Shelley Riffle, I'm from Nutter Fort, WV. I have a 20 year old

son, Larz. I am engaged to Mike, we are getting married next July!

I have been paper crafting since my son was little. I started making him a scrapbook when he was little of all his school & sports activities and loved it!! A few years later I went to a Stampin Up party and really loved all the stamps & card making. I enjoy using rubber stamps in my scrap books, and have recently started using digi stamps in them as well.

Design Team Call!!!!!

Scrap It With a Song is looking for a few talented crafters to join our team. Do you think you have what it takes? Find out more below.

Design Team responsibilities:

· Create a layout or card (or any other crafty project) based on a chosen song. You can see rules for the challenges HERE.

· Submit a picture of your project 4 days prior to the challenge post date. You will be given songs 1-2 months in advance so that you can work on them ahead of time. You can turn them in all at one time or up to one week prior to that challenge.

· Share in the task of showing blog love to any and all entries. Everyone always loves getting comments so it would be great if you can visit participant’s blogs and comment on their entries.

· Promoting Scrap It With a Song on your own blog. You should post your bi-weekly creation and link up to the main site.

· Commit to a 6 month term – June-Dec

What's in it for you?

· Your work will be featured every week you participate, along with a link back to your blog.

· Your name, blog link and photo will be posted for your entire term on the sidebar

· You will have your name and link listed on the side bar as an alumni even after your term ends.

I want to apologize for the last few week. I have been dealing with some major things in my life and unfortunately Scrap It With A Song has taken a back seat. I've had so much fun hosting this blog but life has just got in the way too much for me to continue. Two of the fabulous design team members have agreed to step in and take over the blog! Happy Valentines Day!!!!!!!!!!!!! This big day has big changes for us here at Scrap It With A Song. We have introduced the biweekly challenges and now we are adding a new twist. Instead of calling them "challenges" we will have a PLAYLIST every other week. Each PLAYLIST will feature two songs. You can choose one or try both... you could even try to combine them in one. So much is going on at Scrap It With A Song!!! Tomorrow starts our new design team members. Let me introduce them now!!

First we have Mindy Gallagher...

Hi there! My name is Mindy Gallagher and I'm so happy to be part of the Design Team
here at Scrap it With a Song. I've been scrapbooking for years & I just recently started
blogging last summer & well I'm totally hooked! I love a challenge! Actually I can't believe
how much I get done with the inspiration of a challenge! I live in sunny South Florida with
my hubby and my daughter who is pretty much the star of most of my work! I work full
time, so my time scrapping is my therapy, rest and relaxation! Once again I am super
excited to be here & I look forward to seeing everyone's wonderful work!

Next we have Paulina Guttrey

I live in Stawell, in the south east of Australia (in the town where I was born and raised) with my husband, poochie and special needs 'foster' daughter with multiple disabilities. I have a vision impairment, so my crafting is very precious to me. Mum and Nan started me cross-stitching and embroidery. Mum knits and crochets, Nan was a milliner, Grandma was a ballgown seamstress, so I guess I had no hope!) I got my own back though, because I’ve turned Mum into an addicted scrapbooker!
I am a cardmaker, scrapbooker, stitcher, and beader... now and then I will tackle a 3D or off-the-page project. I love to use digital images in my cardmaking (colouring with chalks, markers, watercolours, H20s), but am a traditional scrapper. I love to feel layers, textures, and lumpy embellishments! I love using beads, buttons, lace, ribbon, flowers, bling, lots of colour, or minimal colour in vintage styles. I call me ‘ecclectic’ because I play in many styles, mixing themwith uncomplicated Clean and Simple pages... but will often spend much time stitching, or creating that ‘fussy handmade embellishment’.
I create cards using stitching and embroidery, and beading, and design many of my own card stitching patterns. I also make jewellery, and favour vintage styles - my pieces are individually crafted, and no two are the same. Although I am lucky enough to be able to sell some of my cards and jewellery at a local market, and by special order, I love to share my creations as gifts to friends and family.
I do demos for local events - ladies groups, craft fairs etc - and sell my cards and jewellery at a local market and by special order. I also run a community scrapbooking group (going weekly this year!) .... just can’t get enough paper!
Although I’ve scrapbooked since the mid 90s (with various breaks and deviations) I believe it is a heartfelt craft/passion in which we continually learn and experience – we relearn old forgotten techniques, we relive memories with our photos. We are constantly evolving and I don’t believe in any creation ‘not being good enough’ our only measure is our self ... what we create and share is a part of ourselves, and I am thrilled to be able to do that here at Scrap It With a Song!

And last but not least is Tita Freddi...

I am an Italian scrapper. My name is Teresita, but friends call me Tita. I am 33 years old, I have lived abroad for some years and then I came back to the north of Italy in late 2009. I work in an Administrative office. I like my job but at the end of the day my creativity needs to get out somehow!
I discovered Scrapbooking in 2008 in Brussels, Belgium, thanks to the right encounters! And since then…I became scrap addicted! Now I would spend more money in scrap stuff than in clothes!! My style is I free, colourful, and even flashy sometimes. I love making 12x12 layouts, but I am happy when I can make cards to offer, or little paintings to be hung. I often scrap in the evenings or during week ends. My favourite subject are pictures of me, and since I do not have children, I scrap my friend's kids! My scraproom is a mess, but I could not work in a tidy corner. I need my Inspiring Chaos, let's say. I am excited of becoming a DT member here on Scrap it with a song!!
