Good morning all! It is such a beautiful time of the year. Spring is here (or it is in Texas) This is my favorite time of the year. I love the spring flowers and the spring rains too. Easter will be here soon too. It is time for the second half of the design team to show you our projects. Love the songs for this month and I was really inspired to create and craft. We hope you will be too. Here is a look at the songs for this month. Remember all you have to do is tell us how you were inspired by the song. You can enter in both the Rock and the Pop songs so you have two entries.
This is my beautiful granddaughter. Emotion is all over her and me too when I think of her and see her. She is the most animated young person I know. A completely beautiful young lady. She is a total delight for this granny. Melody
Mariah Carey's song, Emotions, is our challenge this month and I thought my daughter along with her friends capture 'emotions' perfectly in these pictures from their graduation. I see "Joy for Graduating" and then, "Oh my goodness" - eek! Now What? Lol, they are so great! The background papers were my inspiration for the color theme. I received the scalloped edge floral print from a special friend and used the full 12X12 sheet as the base, which was a plain white flocked sheet, which I inked. I added multiple flowers, layering them and then some shared leaf cutouts leftover from a crop. A couple of brads are used for the center of the flowers and then I added a gold COOL clip. Finally, it all comes together with Cricut die cut wording that captures the photographic moment! Enjoy, and have fun creating!!
Hearing the song came to my mind a kind of reconciliation that I've played with him that shows a bunch of red roses symbol of love ... I hope you like it!

This month we are very happy to welcome Ashley as our guest designer!
She made this wonderful layout based on our March pop song (you can see March challenges here).
Inspiration for my project:
I was inspired by the line "Feels like a dream." To me, there's not much better than catching the sunrise over the ocean. It's magical and dreamlike.
You can see more details and explanation of my project here on my blog.
And now, let's know Ashley better...
Hello! I'm Ashley and I
started scrapbooking when I was 16. I only made 8.5x11 size pages until about
four years ago when I decided to try 12x12 size. Now my albums are a mix of both
styles, plus some pocket pages sometimes too. I've been a nurse for 10 years and
I work at a high medium/maximum security prison nearby. I recently got engaged
and we have three dogs. I love all kinds of music and love to incorporate lyrics into my pages so I'm super excited to be guest designing!
Thank you so much for being with us! If you would like the chance to be our guest designer in the future, go see our March challenges: maybe you could be our pick for next month!

Happy February! Welcome back to another episode of the monthly process videos. I had such a great time working with the songs this month and I hope that you are enjoying them too. For this video, I used the Pop Song of the Month which is Justin Timberlake's Can't Stop the Feeling. Both songs this month had a similar love theme though so the layout I created could probably work for either one.
I love the fun, spunky vibes of this song as well as the general love and dancing theme. My daughter absolutely loved The Trolls Movie so I knew that I wanted to use this month's song theme on a layout of her album. About a month ago, my husband and daughter got to attend her first ever daddy daughter dance. The school that she used to go to didn't sponsor this event so she was excited for weeks waiting for the big night. They got to have catered dinner, make craft projects, get photos taken, dance, and even go on a carriage ride. It was such a magical night for her and one that she will always remember.
The Crate Paper Heart Day collection immediately came to mind with my main photo from the night (there are others in a pocket page that coordinates). I included a few elements from the Dear Lizzy Saturday collection as well as a new Tim Holtz stencil that I just got. The sequins are part of the Holly Berries Mix from SpiegelMom Scraps and you can always use my code of Khristina15 for a discount on amazing embellishment goodies over at the shop. I hope that you will check out my layout and video below and that they inspire you to create a layout for this month's songs.
And...here is the process video...
Thanks so much for joining me today and I hope that you will also play along with this month's song choices. Make sure to scroll down to see projects from the rest of the amazing design team and to leave us a link to a project that you create. Happy Crafting!
February is a month that celebrates love.
We really love to see everyone's projects. You are all so awesome and we really appreciate you joining us.
This month we have some more wonderful songs for you to be inspired by. Create every kind of paper project and tell us how you were inspired by the song. You may enter once for both songs. We love to see what you create.
Now lets see what the other half of out DT made with this month songs!
February's song, Can't Stop the Feeling, has a lyric 'got that sunshine in my pocket' and this little guy is like sunshine (we affectionately call him 'little man' -hence the bow-tie card)! Both of my grandson's are happily dancing around when they watch Troll's and this song comes on. This paper is from Me & My Big Idea Mambi Sheet paper pack, edges are inked on some of the paper elements. The light blue paper with print is actually a recycled item. They are index tickets that came in a metal filing drawer from a muffler shop! There is washi tape, twine and one square brad. Also used were City Limits cards from the Instalife pack from Close to My Heart. I used my paper crimper on the black arrow card. I kept this simple because I really like the simple grid background paper and wanted to pick up the straight lines from it. PHOTO: Morrill Photography
This is my sweet Sara and she is the happiest girl I know. She is so much fun to be around and makes life so much fun. That is how this song inspired me because it is such a happy song that makes you want to laugh and dance. I used all CTMH papers (Hello Lovely) and also used the Flower Market Cartridge from CTMH to cut the flowers, and a stamp from CTMH called This and That. Inks are from CTMH as well. Everything on the layout is from CTMH.

This month we are very happy to welcome Nicole Doiron as our guest designer! Nicole was on SIWAS DT in the past, and we are really honored to have her guest designing! She made this wonderful layout based on our February rock song (you can see February challenges here).
Inspiration for my project:
Both songs inspired me as I quite obviously chose a love-theme for my page. But most especially, I had The Cure - Love Song in mind as it just so happens to be one of my all-time favorites! I listen to it and of course I think of my boyfriend who embodies all the lovey dovey feelings expressed in the lyrics. I will always love him, and that means, 'for eternity'!
And now, let's know her better...
Hello! I am Nicole Doiron from Canada's beautiful East coast. I share my life and home with my boyfriend of 10 years, Yves, and our furbaby, Sugar the cat. I often sing in the shower and I have a quirky sense of humour. I work at a regular office job and can't wait to get home every day to my studio! I have always had an artistic side... drawing, writing poetry & trying on different crafts. I started scrapbooking in 2004 and have been hooked since. I create mostly layouts, both single and double, as well as cards and canvases. I am loving mixed media more and more.
My overall style is shabby chic with lots of flowers! I also love to get my hands dirty with different mediums like gesso, molding paste, mists and paints. I am thrilled to be a guest designer at Scrap It with a Song this month as it was one of my first ever DT and it is so good to be back! To see more of my creations, visit me at my blog, Scrap-Utopia.
Thank you so much Nicole for being with us! If you would like the chance to be our guest designer in the future, go see our February challenges: maybe you could be our pick for next month! See you on 15th with the other half of our DT reveal.
