May Challenges: collaboration with Challenge YOUrself

We are teaming up with Challenge Yourself this month.
You can take part in our challenge, in theirs or you can combine them: there are a lot of prizes for you!
If you combine challenges, be sure to link up with both of us.

Our rules are pretty simple:  make a project either paper or digital and tell us how you were inspired by the song either pop or rock (maybe the lyrics, or a specific word, or the theme, or even the video...) You can even link up two projects one for each song.  (We would love for you to do that)  Link up to our Linky Tool over at the top right of the blog.

This is the mood board for the month at Challenge YOUrself.  We love all the greens, blues and yellows! For this challenge you must make a layout including YOU in the picture and use this mood board as inspiration:

This is me as a baby, yeah I know I had lots of hair, lol. I used the word life in my title and used flowers and a feather from the moodboard.

Yes, you aren't dreaming, it is me!!!!

I used the tittle of pop song and the mood board for the colors, flowers and feathers.

Inspired by moodboard colors and the word "memories" from the song lyrics.

Tynke

I've chosen for the word 'Faith' in the lyrics, it was the first big party I went since my boyfriend died and I was dressed in my most beautiful dress. The word faith means faith in myself, faith in others, faith in life. Life goes on!

November challenges: cohoperation with Stuck?!Sketches

Hi lovely followers, here we are at November.

It's time for new challenge, plus we have a bit of a surprise this month: for this challenges we're partnering with the DT from Stuck?!Sketches. They are using our songs and we are using their amazing sketches.

I got inspired by the line "There are 2 paths you can go, but there is still time to change the road you're on. It reminds me of a lovely day in Belgium, when we were just driving without any GPS. A roadtrip, we discovered this beautiful town and made a picture of the nice view. I used the line in the journal. 

Giorgia

I chose the word "WONDER" from the lyrics as title for my layout about NY: I loved this city so much, and all the USA! It really was a great trip and I hope to come back soon. I decided to rotate the sketch.


Sharon

 Stairway to Heaven inspired  me to think about what really makes me happy and that is my grandchildren.  This layout is of my granddaughter.  It is of her 4th grade school picture and also pictures taken during her 4th grade year from dance and gymnastics.


POP TEAM

This song made me think of my animals....My Pet tarantulas molt like a snake every 6 months and its amazing to watch. There evolving everyday which i think is amazing. So i created  this awesome Mix-media layout using a picture of my Flame Knee Tarantula, whose name is FireBall!! He's Beautiful and recent molted again but he's got a hot temper and gotta keep an eye always on him. I put the title Tarantula in cargo box type lettering using texture paste and stencils. I continued to just layer on and on with prima paper, inks and sprays, die-cuts, tag's, fibers, Sa crafters elements, textures and stencils, and even gauze. I splattered white to finish it all off.

I was inspired by the song title. I chose a nautical theme with octopus and other aquatic animals, with a mix of vintage and modern style.

I was inspired by the lyric; you and me. It was hard to choose a lyric from the song, but I finally did, and this was an easy one. On the photo hubby and son during vacation in France in 2009 ! Seems like yesterday !

You can create any kind of paper project (altered canvas, card, layout, ATC, art journal… we also accept digital layout!)
You can use lyrics, title, theme or maybe the video to inspire you (here is a link to the challenge rules).
