This month we are very happy to welcome Ashley as our guest designer!

Inspiration for my project:

I was inspired by the line "Feels like a dream." To me, there's not much better than catching the sunrise over the ocean. It's magical and dreamlike.

Hello! I'm Ashley and I  started scrapbooking when I was 16. I only made 8.5x11 size pages until about  four years ago when I decided to try 12x12 size. Now my albums are a mix of both  styles, plus some pocket pages sometimes too. I've been a nurse for 10 years and  I work at a high medium/maximum security prison nearby. I recently got engaged 
and we have three dogs. I love all kinds of music and love to incorporate lyrics into my pages so I'm super excited to be guest designing!

February Guest Designer

This month we are very happy to welcome Nicole Doiron as our guest designer! 
Nicole was on SIWAS DT in the past, and we are really honored to have her guest designing!

She made this wonderful layout based on our February rock song (you can see February challenges here).

Inspiration for my project:

Both songs inspired me as I quite obviously chose a love-theme for my page.  But most especially, I had The Cure - Love Song in mind as it just so happens to be one of my all-time favorites!  I listen to it and of course I think of my boyfriend who embodies all the lovey dovey feelings expressed in the lyrics.  I will always love him, and that means, 'for eternity'!

And now, let's know her better...

Hello! I am Nicole Doiron from Canada's beautiful East coast. I share my life and home with my boyfriend of 10 years, Yves, and our furbaby, Sugar the cat.  I often sing in the shower and I have a quirky sense of humour.  I work at a regular office job and can't wait to get home every day to my studio! I have always had an artistic side... drawing, writing poetry & trying on different crafts. I started scrapbooking in 2004 and have been hooked since. I create mostly layouts, both single and double, as well as cards and canvases.  I am loving mixed media more and more.

My overall style is shabby chic with lots of flowers! I also love to get my hands dirty with different mediums like gesso, molding paste, mists and paints. I am thrilled to be a guest designer at Scrap It with a Song this month as it was one of my first ever DT and it is so good to be back! January Guest Designer

This month we are very happy to welcome Simona Lolli as our guest designer! She made a wonderful layout based on our January pop song (you can see January challenges here).

"My name is Simona, I live in Bologna, Italy, I am 40 something :) Scrapbooking entered in my life some years ago and it became part of it. I love to think that I will leave a legacy to my children, a reminder of our family through my LOs, that I love the most. I have no particular style, I find inspiration in internet and in other scrappers works. My only "never without" thing in my works are journaling, where and when: they have to be present!"

"I took inspiration from the song Good good Father by Chris Tomlin, especially from the sentence "And that I'm never alone". I used a picture of my daughter Sara cuddling with her father: she knows that she will never be alone, wherever life will take her."

This month we are very happy to welcome Sandy Ross as our guest designer! She made a wonderful layout based on our special Christmas song: "We wish you a Merry Christmas" (you can see December challenges here).

"My name is Sandy Ross and I live in Southern Ontario, Canada and I am married to a wonderful man who supports my scrapbooking hobby. We have three amazing grown children and two adorable grandsons. They are my inspiration for scrapbooking – to capture and cherish memories forever.
I’ve been crafty as long as I can remember, but seriously addicted to scrapbooking for the last seven years. I also love to sew and quilting is my passion.
I can’t say I have a distinct style because I really like experimenting and trying new techniques. I love to follow sketches and I am presently on one design team- Lasting Memories Layout Challenges. Thank you SIWAS for having me as a guest designer!"

Hello to our October guest designer

This month we are very happy to welcome Lizzy Hill as our guest designer! She made a wonderful layout based on our rock song for October "Dark Necessity" by Red Hot Chili Peppers (you can see October challenges here).

"Hi! I’m thrilled to be Guest Designer for Scrap it With a Song this month!
My name is Lizzy Hill. I come from the Central Coast, NSW in Australia & I’m addicted to scrapbooking. Aren’t we all? But it’s a good addiction ‘cos it means you get to meet wonderful peeps, go in awesome challenges & sometimes get featured like today!
I started scrapping around 7 years ago. I tend to like strong colours and elements, but I’ll have a go at anything, because most of all I love to challenge myself to do stuff I don’t normally do. And I’m perfectly happy making cards, layouts, Project Life or Happy Mail!
I’m currently on a few scrap challenge teams and have been published in some scrap mags, all of which I enjoy immensely. Feel free to check out my blog. My blog is at  & I tend to blog every couple of days, because I’m a bit of a ‘serial’ scrapper. Besides, I’ve 2 grown boys, 3 little grand boys & a VERY extended family of ‘steps’ that provide me with plenty of scrappy ‘fodder’.

I hope my page gives you some inspiration for this month’s challenge!"

 I took inspiration from some of the words in the song: 'Go', 'Deep at Play' and 'World at your command'. To me, they fitted beautifully with my step Grand Girls who decided, whilst at the local play ground to play 'models' and used the sand pit platform for their 'cat walk'!!!

It is time to meet our fabulous Guest Designer of the month!

Please help us welcome Asa!

My name is Åsa and I live in the middle of Sweden with my hubby and our 14 years old son and 9 years old twin daughters and a dog. I will soon be 40 years old. I work as a teacher since 17 years.

Scrapbooking and cardmaking are my addictions. Lovely ones. It all started in 2007 when I was carrying my twins and couldn´t go to work. I had to have something to do. Since then I can´t stop. Mostly I do layouts. I don´t know if I have a style, I try to vary me. But I love CAS! I use a white cardstock as a background almost everytime. Pink, black and white are my favourite colours! 

My card making style is just CAS. Very CAS! 

I follow a lot of blogs of talented people around the world and I get my inspiration there from. 

I´m so glad that I got this opportunity to be a guest designer at wonderful Scrap it with a song. Thank you!

"I am 47 years old and I live in Norway 20 minutes drive north of the capital. I live with my cohabiting Vidar and our son Daniel who are 16 years old. I also have a stepdaughter who is 30 years old.

I have always put photos in albums, but scrapping in the way I do today started in 2004. I love paper and I love to mix patterned paper and embellishment.

I am one of few that scrap chronologically and every picture I take (LO and Project Life). I cannot define my scrapping style….I like to believe that I scrap a lot of different styles. Many say, however, that they recognize my LO `s.

Inspiration I have to say that I get basically from net…both domestic and foreign.

I chose the song “Angel" performed by Robbie Williams.  I was inspired by the lyrics:  

"I sit and wait
Does an angel contemplate my fate
And do they know
The places where we go
When we're grey and old
'cos I have been told
That salvation lets their wings unfold"

There is also a verse mentioning "waterfall" and that inspired the spray of gems cascading down the angelic ascension.

"Hello! My name is Carolyn and I live in Winnipeg, Canada. I'm a mom to a fun four-year-old girl who gives me more than enough photos and topics to scrap. This month we welcome Lizzy Hill as our guest designer with her wonderful layout based on her interpretation of our pop song "Call it What You Want"  (New Kids on the Block -1990)  this month  ...

Inspired by the New kids on the Block song - Call it what you want.
I used the lyrics 'Baby girl I call it love'.....I was inspired by the baby girl words, & how they worked so well of this photo of Holly in the snow with her Mum. There is such love in this photo!
Then, because it was snow, I searched for some snow flakes. And it must have been meant to be, because I had some that were sent to me for my February win at SIWAS! So, they have been used initially as a mask on the background, then for some texture as well.
