Week #7 - I Hope You Dance

Your layouts last week ladies, were SWEET!! Loved every one of them. This week's song is Lee Ann Womack's I Hope You Dance. There are lot's of scrappy themes here. From living, loving, dancing, faith and opportunity....even the ocean!! Among many other ideas. I am willing to bet we see a BIG variety of layouts this week!

Our generous sponsor for week #7 is The Craft Garden. They have donated a £10 gift certificate to their site to the big winner this week!!!

The craft garden is the supplier of smaller more realistic amounts of craft flowers ideal for trying before you buy a larger pack or just when you want a small amount. They also have a range of other crafty products to help you with all of your creative needs. They also have a product of the week posted each Monday that is listed at half price while supplies last! What's better than great scrappy supplies? Half price great scrappy supplies!!!

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat, but always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small when you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance. I hope you dance

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances, but they're worth taking
Lovin' might be a mistake, but it's worth making
Don't let some hell bent heart leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out, reconsider
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance

(Time is a real and constant motion always)
(Rolling us along)
(Tell me who)
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
(Where those years have gone)

The song this week stumped some of our DT. Myself more than
anyone, I think! We all came through with inspiration for you all,
butI think we really struggled to find our way at first!

What a Sweet Top 5

Boy was this a hard week. Each week we love eyeballing all of the wonderful creativity you share with us based on our chosen song. When trying to find a top 5, we take into account many things. Not just who's layout is the fanciest. Though we of course LOVE seeing all the beautiful works. We also look at who used the lyrics creatively and who wowed us with their interpretation. So keep up the awesome work!! This week we were singing along to some Guns N Roses in the way of 'Sweet Child O' Mine' and boy did you guys bring the sweet!!

Our sponsor this week was the fabulous CropStop.com

This week's winner will get a $10 gift certificate to their site to help them shop till they drop!! Or at least till they run out of money! hahaha. This week's big winner needs to contact me at scrapitwithasong(at)yahoo(dot)com no later than next Monday. And that winner is:

Julie R
YAY!!!!! Congrats! I absolutely loved everything about this
layout. The mixed fonts and the 'framing' of the face...perfect!

And rounding out the rest of the top 5 is:

Colleen

We love seeing cards for our challenges
and yours made us smile for sure!!!

Jean

I really love the line you chose to journal. Using it
around the outside of your page was a fabulous idea!

Amelia

Week after week you have submitted not only the most
beautifully chic layouts, but they all manage to incorporate
our chosen song lyrics so creatively. You of course wowed
us again! LOVE it all especially the journaling style.

Sharm

I just love the shaped layout! What a sweet photo complimented
by an awesome set of lyrics. I really like the way you highlighted
one of the words in the lyrics to be your title in a larger font...wonderful!

Each of you can now display the Top 5 logo with pride on your blogs if you'd like:

Also, last week our wonderful sponsor PaperMom offered up one digital image to the entire top 5. I have yet to hear from 2 of you, and you have until tomorrow to contact me to claim your free image. Don't miss out!!! Click HERE to see if YOU were a winner!

Stay tuned tomorrow where I hope you dance through another week!!!

She's got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky
Now and then when I see her face
She takes me away to that special place
And if I stared too long I'd probably break down and cry

Oh, sweet child o' mine
Oh, sweet love of mine

She's got eyes of the bluest skies
As if they thought of rain
I hate to look into those eyes
And see an ounce of pain
Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place
Where as a child I'd hide
And pray for the thunder and the rain
To quietly pass me by

Where do we go
Where do we go now
Where do we go
Where do we go
Where do we go now
Where do we go
Sweet child
Where do we go now
