December challenges: Destiny's Child and Queen

Hello everybody! 

Here is all ready the last challenge of 2014.. In a month full of holidays, Christmas trees and Jingle bells it has to be a Christmas challenge of course... So I have chosen for 2 songs who have a link with this theme. 

The first song you can use is our pop song:

Destiny's child: Winter Paradise. 

A lovely happy song I think.

Well it was easy what I should use from the song, lol, I choose the word "Christmas" on my page, on the photo my boy a few years ago, decorating the tree.

November Challenge- Wham and The Cure

Hi All, 

This month it is Karen bringing you the new challenges for the month.

both of my choices are 80s favorites of mine!!

So the POP choice for the month is

Wham was one of my favorite groups in the 80's I could sing every song of them and my room was full of posters from the boys :-)  For my page I used the lyric; you make the sun shine brighter , and that's what my boy does every day :-)

October Challenge:Rock Paramore "Ain't it Fun" & Pop Demi Lovato "Let it Go"

This is a fun song to sing  around the house and she has such great hair in this video ....super cool!!! And it looks like they had a lot of fun making this video!!!

Had too much fun on our trip to Colorado and going white water rafting!!! Such a fun trip ...full of adventure!!!

I got inspired by the title of the song and the video. The bright colors and the 'playing' in the video made my choice for this designpaper.


MONIA

I found inspiration from this photo of a holiday badalona (spain) that smells of summer ... bright colors and the desire to relax !! I used a stencil and chalk to the bottom and I sprayed glimmer mist 2 colors, some stamped and done!

                                              I used the word "fun" in this birthday card.

In this photo, my daughter said: "Mommy wait, Selphieeeeee!"

POP:

And then here is my pop challenge ...tried to keep it simple and about the journaling behind the picture!!!

I choose the lyric; Up here in the cold thin air. Perfect for the photo's of the hot-air balloon ride we made in 2009. We had beautiful weather and sunset, it was such a great experience.

I used the line "The life I've chosen", which I wrote on the bottom of my page.

I used the line "the cold doesn't bother me anyway" to scrap a picture of my daughter in the snow

The thing that I like the most in this challenge blog, is that every time I hear a song , I dream and I create!! This time, I think it's easy to understand what inspired me to make this snowman, for a little girls party..Olaf of course!

September challenge : Rock "On top of the World" and Pop "Running on Empty"

Hi everyone!

Before getting to this month’s challenge we would like to tell you that the rules of SIWAS are slightly changing, in order to leave you more time and inspiration to participate. Nothing major, don’t worry, you will still get pop and rock songs to help you find the inspiration for your projects. So, what’s new?!

 Every first of the month we will give you both the rock and the pop song with our interpretations and leave you until the 28^th of the month to submit a project inspired by either one of the songs (part of the title, of the lyrics, the video, …). 
And one last change…the winner will get a little prize from us, which will be revealed on the 1^st of the month with the two songs. So, are you ready to play along?

I used the line "Run away" because my son is running down the dike near our hometown. Because we live in the very north of our country we often say it's "On top of the world". ;)
