October midmonth reveal

Hi lovely followers, here we are at the mid-month reveal of October. I take the chance to say goodbye to one of our DT members who is leaving us: bye Chara, best wishes to you, we all loved your work here and we hope to see you come back as a player!

We have two  challenges for you: each month here at Scrap it with a Song we give you a pop and a rock song as inspiration to create any kind of paper project (altered canvas, card, layout, ATC, art journal…) you choose !!!
You can use lyrics, title, theme or maybe the video to inspire you (here is a link to the challenge rules).

It's a nice day... to start again!!! Everyday is a nice day with you!!! I use vibrant colours, washi tape, stamps, gesso, adesives... this is a page experiments... I love it!!!

Well any song with the word relax gets me wanting a long, comfortable snooze in a cozy hammock. This Penny Black stamp fits that idea perfectly!

A warm welcome to our October Guest Designer

This month we are very happy to welcome Carolyn Johnson as our guest designer! She made a wonderful layout based on our rock song for October "White Wedding" by Billy Idol (you can see October challenges here).

Let's meet Carolyn:
"Hello! My name is Carolyn and I live in Winnipeg, Canada. I'm a mom to a fun four-year-old girl who gives me more than enough photos and topics to scrap. I began scrapbooking when she was born as a way to give myself a break and to document our family's journey. I just recently discovered scrapbook challenges and blogging and I'm hooked! I'm learning so much it is hard to define my style as I'm trying out all these new techniques and I enjoy them all. Feel free to check out my blog.

I chose the song "White Wedding" for inspiration as my brother got married last year and I still had some pictures left to scrap. My sister-in-law chose such a beautiful colour scheme I changed my title to "White, Pink & Teal Wedding. Thanks for having me as Guest Designer!"

I took inspiration from the title "White Wedding": I am currently scrapping my wedding pictures, so it was pretty easy to use the title as inspiration for these picture of me getting ready in my Vera Wang White dress. I love this dress so much! They sell it only in US, I want it so badly to make an appointment to buy it while I was in vacation in US!

 I chose White Wedding by Billy Idol.  I must admit I had a motive for picking this song besides just liking it really well.  My grandson got married in July and it was a WHITE WEDDING!  It was a beautiful wedding and I couldn't wait to scrap the pictures.  So here is my layout using the title as inspiration :)
