Special Layout
Hi Sharon here with you today to post a layout I made. Several years ago we went camping and took our grand daughter with us. We were camping up close to Ruidoso, NM and the scenery was absolutely gorgeous just as our grand daughter was. We had a wonderful time. The mountains are so beautiful and you just have a wonderful sense of how Good Our God is. The pop song this month is Good Good Father by Chris Tomlin and was inspiration for this layout. I used a Cricut Cartridge by Ana Griffin to make the flowers and the leaf border. It is Garden Cards. I also used Heidi Swap acrylic butterflies. Some CTMH paper and ink and also some paper from the Glitz Birthday Wishes paper pack and some paper flowers from Prima. There is still plenty of time to join us.

January Process Video
Happy Wednesday!! Welcome to my first month as the video contributor for Scrap It With a Song. Throughout the past few months, I have loved being on the design team and working with the songs for inspiration. Before this, all of my previous work was released with the 1st of the month reveals. Now, you will always find me on the 18th of the month sharing a video for either a tutorial, layout process, or fun project that I create based upon one of the songs. Please feel free to leave me a comment, suggestion, or something you would like to see in these monthly videos! I would SO appreciate it if you would consider liking, subscribing, and commenting on the videos so that I am able to continue to bring you fun content!
Without further ado...this month I decided to work with the Rock Song from the Eels called Looking Up. I knew that I had some great black and white images from a recent trip to Yosemite National Park that were begging for the title to be Looking Up! Here is the video link or you can keep scrolling!

I combined lots of different elements from some of my favorite companies in order to create a layout that would focus on the image and incorporate the song title as my layout title. I love mixing fonts to create a title that is interesting and draws the viewer into the page. Overlapping that title with my photo, brings the eye directly where I want the focus to be--the photo! Here are a few close-up images to show you some of the details as well.

Make sure that you check out the video where i talk more about how I put this layout together, why I made the design decisions that I made, and where I got all of these gorgeous goodies!
Thanks so much for joining me and I can't wait to see what you create with this month's song inspiration at Scrap It With a Song! Happy Crafting!!!

Hello everyone, Happy New Year! I'm happy to share with you my first DT reveal for Scrap It With a Song in 2017. I was inspired by the rock song, "Looking Up" by Eels. Also, this song encouraged me to look up in this new year. Hope you get some inspiration from my layout. Don't forget to look up!
Pop Girls
Sharon
I was inspired by the whole song. God is a Good Good Father and he sent his angels to protect us the entire way when we were on a bike ride in 2014. While we were going through the wreck and the aftermath of the wreck God showed me the entire time how his hand was on us and how we were protected. This song is so awesome and personal for me.
Melody
This song makes me happy knowing that our Heavenly Father loves us. It is my believe that He shows us goodness in our families. I am thankful for the head of our household, my husband. He has been so good to all of us! As I was moved by this song to create a layout, I knew that I wanted it to be simple, even though this pic is not as current (missing a few faces)! The scalloped edges were created with a Martha Stewart punch, used on...of all things...a FOLDER! I also added a clear overlay with gold polka dots and the FAMILY die has been foiled with gold. Tim Holtz inks were used to accent the edges. The backdrop to the picture is actually the reverse side of the folder. I love to use the unexpected and hope y'all like the simplicity of this layout! Looking forward to this New Year!
Now lets talk about prizes

January Guest Designer
This month we are very happy to welcome Simona Lolli as our guest designer! She made a wonderful layout based on our January pop song (you can see January challenges here).
"My name is Simona, I live in Bologna, Italy, I am 40 something :) Scrapbooking entered in my life some years ago and it became part of it. I love to think that I will leave a legacy to my children, a reminder of our family through my LOs, that I love the most. I have no particular style, I find inspiration in internet and in other scrappers works. My only "never without" thing in my works are journaling, where and when: they have to be present!"
"I took inspiration from the song Good good Father by Chris Tomlin, especially from the sentence "And that I'm never alone". I used a picture of my daughter Sara cuddling with her father: she knows that she will never be alone, wherever life will take her."
Thank you so much Simona for being with us, we love colors in your layout, and all those circles, and the story behind it!
If you would like the chance to be our guest designer in the future, go see our October challenges: maybe you could be our pick for next month!

For this rock song I worked on my wedding travel book and I created this page with Merida's photos, in particular I was inspired by these two phrases of song:
Back on my feetWalking down the streetYeah, I'm looking up
No project from me this month, sorry. See you in February!

I made an Art Journal page for this pop song. I was inspired by the title and I found a vintage picture with a father and his son.

Found lot's of lyrics that I could use on my page, but finally chose: searching for answers. I went wild with my inks and stamps on this.
