April Challenge - Second Reveal

Hello friends of Scrap It With A Song Challenge Blog.  It is with great sadness that we are going to close down Scrap It With A Song.  This will be the last month for the blog.  We would like to thank you our followers for all the years that you have joined us and added your wonderful projects.  We would also like to thank all the design team members that have given their time and their wonderful projects to this blog.  THANK YOU AGAIN FOR JOINING US!

I have somebody to love!  My son and daughter(by choice).  This is our last post here at Scrap It With A Song and I want to thank all of you that have followed us and joined in with our challenges.  It has been so much fun playing along and scrapping songs with everyone.

March 15th reveal

Good morning all!  It is such a beautiful time of the year.  Spring is here (or it is in Texas) This is my favorite time of the year.  I love the spring flowers and the spring rains too.  Easter will be here soon too.  It is time for the second half of the design team to show you our projects.  Love the songs for this month and I was really inspired to create and craft.  We hope you will be too.  Here is a look at the songs for this month. This is my beautiful granddaughter.  Emotion is all over her and me too when I think of her and see her.  She is the most animated young person I know. A completely beautiful young lady.  She is a total delight for this granny.

Mariah Carey's song, Emotions, is our challenge this month and I thought my daughter along with her friends capture 'emotions' perfectly in these pictures from their graduation. I see "Joy for Graduating" and then, "Oh my goodness" - eek! Now What? Lol, they are so great! The background papers were my inspiration for the color theme. I received the scalloped edge floral print from a special friend and used the full 12X12 sheet as the base, which was a plain white flocked sheet, which I inked. I added multiple flowers, layering them and then some shared leaf cutouts leftover from a crop. A couple of brads are used for the center of the flowers and then I added a gold COOL clip. Finally, it all comes together with Cricut die cut wording that captures the photographic moment! Enjoy, and have fun creating!!

It is a new year and all those new year resolutions are here! The pop song inspiration for this layout for December were the words, 'Maybe we make a deal, Maybe together we can get somewhere' and 'I got a plan to get us out of here' which seems to be exactly what my grandson's facial expression is saying to this light-up snowman! I tried a new technique on the embossed, snow tipped tree in the lower left hand corner thanks to some great ladies at our monthly crop (DecoArt Dimensional Effects paste and Shenna Douglass stencil)! I love Christmas and wanted to incorporate the colorful striped paper, and yes, I have a RED snowflake (Tim Holtz/Sissix snowflake and snowman dies).

I was inspired by this line in the song: City lights lay out before us And your arm felt nice wrapped 'round my shoulder.  It reminded me of a recent road trip to Maine, where we visited this beautiful lighthouse in Portland.

November challenges and a time for "Thanks"

*Did you see that we are having a DT call?*

November is a time for thanks in the USA and I am not sure if it is the same for the rest of the world. I do know that all of us have so much to be thankful for.  There has been so many attacks throughout the world lately.  It seems that none of us are immune to it.  I am so thankful for my family and friends. So with that being said I am so glad to be part of this great team of talented ladies and also to have made so many acquaintances with so many beautiful creative women all over the world.   Thank you so much for the inspiration that we as a team get from all our followers here at Scrap It With A Song.  So now let's look at the songs for this month.
